Shepherdess killed

KHAIRPUR, May 1: A shepherd girl was killed near a village of Babarloi area on Wednesday.

The girl, Yasmeen, daughter of Maghan Dhongrani, went to graze goats near her village, Dhongrani Goth.

One of her goats went into the fields of a villager, Ismail Dhongrani, who seriously injured the girl by hitting her with a club.

She was rushed to a local hospital where she died.

On the complaint of the deceased’s father, the Babarloi police have registered a case against nine accused namely Ismail, Wazir Mahar, Razzaq, Imtiaz, Gulan, Shaban,

Akram, Ranjho and Mithal Dhongrani.

Meanwhile, the police have recovered the body of a 54 years old man from the Ranipur railway station on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified from his identity card as Pir Mohammad, son of Din Mohammad, resident of Orangi town, Karachi.

FIRE: Seven persons received burn injuries and 13 houses were gutted when fire broke out in Mehar Shaikh village near Daro, Kingri taluka on Wednesday.

Initially the house of Ghulam Nabi Shaikh caught fire which engulfed other houses.

Household items and cash were reduced to ashes and Ehsan Shaikh, Imtiaz Ali, Fazlullah, Abdul Wakeel, Mohammad Qasim Shaikh, Shazia and Mariam Shaikh received burn injuries.
