SARS vaccine likely in one year: scientists


WASHINGTON, May 1: US government scientists have launched an all-out effort to develop a vaccine against SARS in an effort to contain the deadly disease, The Washington Post said Wednesday.

Experience with related diseases in domestic animals suggests that a vaccine against SARS may be attainable within as little as one year, although two to three years is more likely.—AFP
