ISLAMABAD, April 24: Advisor to Prime Minister on Women Development and Social Welfare Nilofar Bakhtiar on Thursday said the government would soon introduce a scheme to increase income of rural women.

Speaking at a certificate distribution ceremony organized by the Human Welfare and Teacher Conservation Society, she said the scheme would help the rural women to become financially independent.

Nilofar said different projects for the welfare of women were already under way.

The government is making allout efforts for economic empowerment of women so that they can play their due role in the progress and prosperity of the country, she added. She said women were making their presence felt in all spheres. —APP
