BAHAWALPUR, April 23: Civil Lines police arrested on Wednesday a man on the charges of circulating counterfeit currency.
Police raided a hotel on a tip off and arrested Riaz of Gujjar Khan along with counterfeit currency notes of Rs1,000 denomination worth Rs10,000.
RAPE: An eight-year-old daughter of a labourer was allegedly raped by Rizwan and Usman in Mauza Jallah Arian near here.
The girl was admitted to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital where her condition is stated to be serious.
Police claimed to have arrested one of the accused Usman.
BIKE SNATCHED: Four gunmen Shakir, Shahzad, Nazim Husain and Aslam deprived Sajjad of his motorcycle near Tibba Badar Shair on Wednesday.
Baghdadul Jadid police have registered a case against them.
CASE REGISTERED: The anti-corruption staff registered a case against a lawyer Nawaz and a former court reader Zafar for allegedly receiving Rs100,000 from a woman, Naziran, to get verdict in her favour from the court but they failed to do so.
The accused are still at large.
