HYDERABAD, April 23: The Chehlum of Imam Hussain and other martyrs of Karbala was observed with traditional reverence in Hyderabad and the interior of Sindh on Wednesday.

Speaking at different Majalis, Ulema, Zakireen and leaders of the Islami Tehrik paid

tribute to Imam Hussain and his companions for their sacrifices in the cause of Islam.

Mourning processions, Alam Pak and Zuljinnah were taken out from Imam Bargahs.

The main Majlis was held at the Qadamgah Maula Ali under the aegis of the Anjuman-i-Imamia.

After Zohr, a mourning procession was taken out from the Qadamgah Maula Ali.

The marchers also set ablaze a portrait of US President George W. Bush and raised slogans against the US.

Our Nawabshah Correspondent adds: The Chehlum of Imam Hussain and his companions was observed with reverence in the district.

A big procession was taken out from the Murtazvi Imam Bargah.
