KARACHI: Academic activities resume today

KARACHI, April 23: After a gap of two days, teaching activities at the University of Karachi and the Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) would resume on Thursday.

The two universities were closed after incidents of clashes between two groups of students at educational institutions of the city, including universities, on April 16.

A spokesman for the University of Karachi said that classes and other academic activities would be resumed from Thursday.

He further informed that the semester examinations at the university would begin from May 7.

In the meantime, the spokesman for the SSUET said that teaching activities at the university would resume on Thursday. He advised the students to come in varsity uniform and produce their varsity cards at the main entrance, other wise they would not be allowed entry.
