Complaints lodged against PWD

ISLAMABAD, April 21: Three complaints were filed with the federal ombudsman’s secretariat against Public Works Department (PWD) during 2001 to 2003, the National Assembly was informed on Monday.

These complaints are related to recovery of utility bills from previous occupants of flat No-48/13 category V in G-10/3, treatment of seepage in flat No-9/4 category V at G-10/3 and reimbursement of electricity and gas dues and payment of water charges of flat No-55/15 category V at G-10/3. These complaints were filed for the poor performance of the PWD.

ALLOTMENT: The National Assembly was also informed that 1,629 houses were allotted to the federal government servants in Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore, Quetta and Karachi during the last three years.
