HANGU, April 21: A man was shot dead when he resisted a kidnapping attempt on Sunday.
Arif Hussain and Wajid Hussain, residents of Syeddan Banda, were going home after evening prayers in the town when they were intercepted by armed men.
The assailants deprived them of their wristwatches and cash and tried to kidnap them. When they resisted, the kidnappers opened fire, killing Arif Hussain. The assailants fled.
