KARACHI, April 20: The Coordination Committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement has appealed to the federal government to accept the genuine demands put forward by the manufacturers of bangles to save the industry from collapse and thousands of families of its workers from starvation.

The statement regretted that a large number of bangle units were lying closed following imposition of GST and increase in gas, power and other utilities’ rates. It observed that amid miseries of price hike and a high unemployment rate, people in Sindh were finding it very difficult even to keep body and soul together.
