SUKKUR, April 19: The taluka council on Friday demanded of the Sindh chief minister and the provincial IGP to dismiss the SHO of the C-section police station in Sukkur, Gulshan Mahar, for torturing the Naib Nazim, Didar Magsi.

The meeting of the taluka council, which was presided over by its Nazim Syed Kazim Ali Shah, unanimously adopted a resolution in this regard. The acting district Nazim, Iqbal Dawood and MPA Nasrullah Baloch also attended the meeting.

Later, speaking at a press conference, the Nazim of the taluka council threatened that councilors would resign en bloc and take to the streets if the concerned police official was not dismissed within the next 48 hours.
