By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, April 18: Swindlers and thieves struck at eight different places in the twin cities and looted cash and stole vehicles, police said on Friday.

In the first incident, two persons deprived a man of cash in an I-9 bank branch on Friday. Mohammad Nasim lodged a complaint with the I-9 police saying that he drew cash from the Muslim Commercial Bank branch and was counting it when two persons inside the bank came to him and asked him that there were some fake currency notes in the cash.

Mr Nasim said the two strangers took the cash from him to “identify” the fake currency notes. He said after checking the notes they handed him over the cash and slipped out of the bank. The victim said when he recounted the cash, he found that he had been swindled. The police are investigating the incident.
