KARACHI, April 18: Four ships carrying crude oil and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

After several lean days and low cargo handling figures, the total tonnage swelled to 79,453 tons comprising 13,280 tons of export cargo including 3,155 tons of rice and 66,173 tons of import cargo, which also included about 58,000 tons of crude and high speed diesel.

Three ships, Le Jin, to offload and load general cargo, Action Express to unload high speed diesel, Bow De Feng, to offload chemical, and Lombardia to offload crude oil were berthed after the departure of as many.

The ships, which departed included Al-Mirqab, Hyundai Stride, Maxim Gorkiy, and Bow De Feng, while Bruce Park, Action Express, Lombardia, Sinar Bangka and PONL Malindi are due to sail out on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Al-Cyonida, with 70,000 tons of crude oil, Med Tai Chung, Torge-S and PONL Singapore, with containers.

KARACHI, April 18: Three ships scheduled to load and discharge containers, chemicals and high speed furnace oil arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Friday.

Berth occupancy remained on the higher side as six ships, Iran Meezan, Francisca Schulte, Msc Sardina, Xin Xing Hai, Qem Star and Mass Merit, were busy in loading/unloading sugar, containers, general cargo, chemicals and coal.

A cargo volume of 48,416 tons comprising 39,045 tons of import cargo and 9,371 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Iran Meezan sailed out, while Qem Star and Sardina were due to leave.

Three ships Klinar, Commeter and China Star were expected to take berths.
