Murderer escapes

LAHORE, April 17: A murder accused on Thursday fled from the court of Justice Khwaja Muhammad Sharif after pushing aside a DSP when the court refused to confirm his interim bail.

On the last hearing, accused Malik Bashiruddin had been granted pre-arrest bail.

The state counsel informed the court that during the investigations, the police had collected evidence against the accused which had necessitated his arrest. Besides this, the accused was also nominated in other crime cases and should arrested forthwith, he claimed.

On it, the court cancelled his interim bail. As the judge annouced the order, the accused pushed DSP Pervez Qandhari, standing next to him, aside and ran out of the courtroom.

Bashiruddin was accused of murdering the owner of a hotel on property dispute.
