YBC and CSC move ahead

KARACHI, April 16: Young Baloch Club (YBC) and Clifton Shaheen Club (CSC) reached next stage of City Zone-IV south football championship, winning their matches in contrasting fashion at People’s Sports Complex on Tuesday.

YBC struck three in each half to crush Swat Sports 6-0.

Khalid scored the fastest goal of the tournament when he found the cage 39 seconds after kick off. Imran and Mumtaz added one each before Faisal, Khalid and Elahi Bakhsh completed the tally.

CSC came from behind to beat Young Eidgah Club (YEC) 2-1.

After the barren first half, Zubair scored for YEC by converting a spot kick. CSC recovered and Zulfiqar equalised and Farooq slammed the match winner 10 minutes before time.—APP
