LAHORE, April 16: Prime Minister Jamali will inaugurate a new fast train, Jafar Express, at Rawalpindi station on Thursday.

The train will run between Rawalpindi and Quetta — from Rawalpindi on Thursdays and Mondays and from Quetta on Fridays and Tuesdays.

The railway management has also decided to introduce reservation facility for economy class passengers for three non-stop trains (107-Up/108-Down, 109-Up/110-Down and 111-Up/112-Down) running between Lahore and Faisalabad.

The facility will be available free of cost.

It has also changed the route of Chiltan Express operating between Peshawar and Quetta.

Meanwhile, some passengers faced difficulties in catching their trains on Tuesday as the summer timetable became effective April 15.

More than 20 passengers failed to board the Quetta Express which left here about 45 minutes earlier under the summer timetable.

A railway official said the timetable changed on April 15 and Oct 15 every year and was properly advertised through the media.
