KARACHI: Man dies in accident

KARACHI, April 15: A young man died in a road accident in Landhi late Monday night.

The police said Mohammed Jamal, aged 30, died in a hit-and-run accident near Cattle Colony. He was run over by an unknown vehicle while walking across a road. He died on the spot.

The body was sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for post- mortem.

A middleaged woman was run over by a moving train near Wireless Gate in Malir on Tuesday.

The police said an unidentified woman died when she came under the wheels of a train while walking across the railway tracks.

The body was sent to the JPMC for autopsy. After post-mortem, the body has been kept in the Edhi’s morgue for identification.

DIES OF BURNS: A young housewife who had suffered burns in her house died in Civil Hospital on Tuesday.

The police said Shaheen, aged 20, wife of Mohammed Shahid, had suffered burns in her house in Haryana Colony, Mominabad, on April 12.

Her husband also suffered burns while he tried to rescue her.
