ISLAMABAD, April 15: The Central Board of Revenue has allowed exporters to claim duty drawback on export of safety helmet aimed at boosting its exports.
The duty drawback would be allowed to the exporters from April 10, 2003, said a customs notification issued on Tuesday.
According to the notification, the rate of duty drawback would be 5.94 per cent of the fob value on export of safety helmet made of fibreglass composite materials and its raw materials — gell coat P3418, cobalt 6 per cent, methyl ethyl ketone (MEK), fibreglass chopped strand mat (powder type), epoxy resin (arldite), pigment black W/S, adhesive, rubber channel, mould release, compound glasso, gloss chalk, tissue mat (glass fibre), woven rowing mat (glass fibre), silicon carbide waterproof paper No 1000, silicon carbide waterproof paper No 1200 and silicon carbide waterproof paper No 1500.
