ISLAMABAD, April 15: The Board of Investment (BoI) has been placed under the Ministry of Privatization and it would no more be working under the Ministry of Industries and Production.

Official sources said that Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has directed Minister for Privatization Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh to also control the BoI.

It was said that the industries ministry had not been able to run BoI effectively and that was why the task was handed over to the privatisation ministry. The notification regarding the matter will be issued by the Establishment Division in a day or so.
