Tehsil council demolishes shops

SADIQABAD, April 12: The tehsil council staff demolished on Friday the shops owned by the president of press club despite a stay granted by the Supreme Court.

The staff also demolished the kiosks of two vendors and took away numerous articles from there.

Meanwhile, an emergency meeting of the Anjuman-i-Tajran, presided over by Chaudhry Sadiq Javed, condemned the tehsil council for its action despite a court injunction.

The meeting also condemned the attitude of tehsil Nazim Mian Bashir Ahmad, TMO Sibtain Ghallu, engineer Ramzan Shahid and other staff.

The PPP also demanded action against the tehsil council staff.

Minister of State Rais Munir Ahmad has also deplored the act of vandalism committed by the tehsil council staff. He advised the tehsil administration to desist from taking law into their hands.
