HARIPUR, April 12: The CIA police Haripur, arrested three persons allegedly involved in manufacturing fake beverage here on Saturday.

The police also took into custody the equipment and hundreds of bottles of soft drinks ready to be marketed.

The CIA police on a tip-off raided a house in village Dhairi Sikandarpur, and recovered beverage manufacturing machines, raw material and hundreds of filled bottles of soft drink which were ready for marketing. Those arrested were identified as Ilyas, Riasat and Israr.

During interrogation, the accused admitted that they had brought the machines from Lahore, while the empty bottles of a known brand were purchased from Peshawar.

A case has been registered against the accused, while the building which housed the fake factory has been sealed.
