HYDERABAD, April 12: The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association on Friday criticized the setting up of a school in the building of the Government I. H. Zuberi Home Economics College in Qasimabad.
The meeting of the association was presided over by Prof Liaquat Aziz.
The meeting observed that Karachi was the only city in Sindh where post-graduate classes were being held in the Home Economics College.
The meeting pointed out that thousands of girls were deprived of post-graduation degrees because of the lack of this facility in the interior of Sindh.
The meeting demanded of the Sindh chief minister, chief secretary and secretary education to allow the holding of post- graduate classes for students in the Qasimabad Home Economics College from the next academic session starting from Aug 1.
SPECIALISTS: The Sindh Professors and Subject Specialists Association at a meeting held here on Saturday has severely criticised the attitude of the administration of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, towards the higher secondary school teachers.
Prof Shahid Zaman presided over the meeting.
The meeting resolved to apprise the Sindh governor, district Nazims and EDOs (education) about the attitude of the Board officials.
It warned that if the Board administration’s attitude did not improve towards the higher secondary school teachers, they would resort to protest and boycott the Board examinations, to be held from April 24.
