KARACHI, April 11: Four ships carrying containers, general cargo and high speed diesel are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where only one ship, Kota Tegap to unload and load containers was berthed after the departure of four.

The departing ships were led by Bunga Masdua, Al-Ihssa, Hyundai Future, and Tyhe, while MOL Sincerity, Storm Lady, Wan Hai-302 and Kota Tegap are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 62,184 tons comprising 24,234 tons of export cargo including 15,000 tons of molasses and 37,950 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Maya-4, with oils, Ocean Luna and Izumo, with containers and Malakand, with general cargo.

KARACHI, April 11: Five ships scheduled to load/offload containers, general cargo, diesel oil and chemicals were arranged berthing at QICT, Marginal Wharf, Fotco Oil and Engro Vopak Terminals during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Friday.

Berth occupancy remained on the higher side as eight ships, Francisca Schulte, Serena, Thia Chryssoula, New Toyokaze, Xin Xing Hai, North Sea Anvi, Essberger Pilot and Alwine Olden Droff were busy in loading/offloading containers and coal, edible oil, general cargo, diesel oil, chemicals and iron ore respectively.

A cargo volume of 69,700 tons comprising 61,013 tons of import cargo and 8,687 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Four ships, Thia Chryssoula, New Toyokaze, Essberger Pilot and Msc Serena were expected to leave the port on Friday.
