PESHAWAR, April 10: The All Class-IV Government Employees Association, NWFP, has demanded of the provincial government to ensure payment of salaries before the 5th of every month to low grade employees of the city district government.

According to a press release, a meeting of the association was held here on Thursday with its president Sarfaraz Khan in the chair.

The meeting through a resolution denounced a police action against the city district government employees on an issue of salaries and urged the provincial government to regularise payments to low cadre employees to avert such incidents in future.

It demanded of the government to give gratuity and other benefits to contract employees in the NWFP like other provinces.

The association also asked the government to restore the son and Haj quota, adjust surplus employees in other departments and accept demands of the association.

The body decided that class-IV employees would attend the public meeting of All Government Employees Coordination Council scheduled to be held here on April 15.
