HYDERABAD, April 9: The president, Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, Hyderabad district, Maulana Abdul Waheed Qureshi, has appealed to the people of Pakistan to boycott all American goods, including fast food restaurants.

He said this while speaking at a news conference at the local press club on Wednesday.

The MMA leader distributed a list of the products which are being sold in Pakistan.

He announced that the MMA would stage a million-man march in Hyderabad on April 14, which will be addressed by the central leadership of the MMA, including Allama Shah Ahmed Noorani, Qazi Hussain Ahmed, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Maulana Samiul Haq, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi and Prof Sajid Mir.

Mr Qureshi said that the US and its allies had thrust an illegal and immoral war on Iraq to subjugate the entire world.

He said this war was not against Iraq but the entire human race, and added that the real target of the US was the Muslim Ummah.

He said that the US wanted to take over control of Islamic countries’ resources.

He said that without any evidence to the Sept 11 incident, the US had destroyed Afghanistan and thrust a puppet government on the people there.

Mr Qureshi alleged that poppy was being grown in Afghanistan under the supervision of the US army.

He said it was quite obvious that the next US targets will be Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

Mr Qureshi said that the US had already given a signal by imposing sanctions on the A. Q. Khan Laboratory.

He regretted that instead of reading through the conspiracy of the US, the Pakistani rulers had become its agents and the FBI was conducting raids throughout Pakistan with complete impunity.

He said the million-man march on April 14 was aimed at awakening the people to the real danger confronting Pakistan today.

Answering a question, he said if the government of Pakistan opened the borders, thousands of Pakistani youth were ready to take part in Jihad in Iraq.

MMA leaders Abdul Rehman Rajput, MPA, Syed Qasim Shah, Nizamul Haideri, Hafizur Rehman Shams and Rao Masood Ali Khan were also present on the occasion.
