KARACHI, April 9: Two ships carrying containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Owing to delay in arrivals of some foreign ships, berthing activity at wharves remained slow where only two ships, MOL Sincerity and APL Cairo were berthed to unload and load containers.

Three ships, Kota Wajar, Botany Triton and Nav Star-3 departed on Wednesday, while Mar Challenger, Maya, APL Cairo, Beauty River, Khairpur, Bunga Masdua and Hyundai Future are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo Handling activity at the wharves was modest where a total tonnage of 56,590 tons comprising 22,691 tons of export cargo including 952 tons of rice and 33,899 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Hyundai Future and Sima Bahar, to unload and load containers.
