ISLAMABAD, April 8: A three-member Nepalese delegation will be the first to arrive in Islamabad Wednesday morning to attend the 29th Executive Committee meeting of the South Asian Sports Federation (SASF) on Thursday.

The party is headed by Rukma Shumsher, president of the Nepal Olympic Committee and also has Dhurba Bahadur Pradhan and Kishore Bahadur Singh.

The SASF meeting that takes place in Rawalpindi will decide on the fate of the 9th SAF Games in Islamabad that were postponed for the third time last month because of the war in Iraq.

Meanwhile the Sri Lankan delegates Hemesiri Fernando and HU Silva will be reaching Islamabad on the morning of the meeting while the only official from Maldives, Mohd Zahid Naseer will also be arriving early Thursday.

An official of the SAF Games Organising Committee said that the flight schedule of Bangladesh and Bhutan delegations was not available while there had been no word from India. Afghanistan, another member of the SAF family, are already here.

Constitutionally, there has to be a minimum representation of five countries for the SASF to make a decision.
