KARACHI, April 7: Sindh Minister for Planning and Development Syed Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari has asked the education department to introduce new technologies in technical colleges in the province.

He was presiding over a meeting which reviewed major projects in education sector at the Sindh Secretariat here on Monday.

The minister asked the officials concerned to take necessary action so that the youth should take benefit of new technologies and the country gets better skilled persons.

The minister was told that seven new technologies were being introduced in the technical colleges in Sindh in the field of sugar, mining, food, printing and graphics, dyeing and printing, computer information and electronics technology.

He was also informed about the additional rooms and computer laboratories available in the technical colleges.

The meeting was told about the construction of model schools at union council level for providing education from Class I to IV.

Similarly, 34 teacher resource centres were being set up for providing training to teachers in addition to the creation of quality improvement cell at Jamshoro for upgrading syllabus.—APP
