KARACHI, April 2: Four ships carrying containers and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

An identical number of tankers loaded with crude oil and high speed diesel are also due tomorrow.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where four ships, Shirvan to offload crude oil, Bruce Park to unload chemicals, Maya to load molasses and Oriental Bright to unload chemicals were berthed after the departure of half a dozen ships.

The off-port situation was clear as no ship was awaiting berth after steady berthing and sailings.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Dubai, Sima Bahar, with containers, Khairpur and Shams, with general cargo.

The following tankers are due on Friday: Chem Princess, to load ethanol, Action Express and Spectrum, with high speed diesel, Sorena, with crude oil and Storm Lady to load naphtha.

KARACHI, April 2: Two ships scheduled to load/offload containers and furnace oil were allotted berths at QICT and Fotco Terminal, while another container ship also arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Three ships namely Msc Camille, SD Victory and Miraj were remained busy in loading/offloading containers, iron ore and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 37,673 tons comprising 35,752 tons of import cargo and 1,921 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Two ships, Contship Champion and Bruce Park, were expected to take berths at QICT and Engro Vopak Terminal, while Sea Pride-II was due to arrive.
