Polio cases on the rise in Sindh: official

LARKANA, April 1: Polio cases are on the rise in Sindh and the health department is making efforts to eliminate the disease.

This was said by the director general, health, Sindh, Dr Qadir Bakhsh Memon, while talking to newsmen after attending a meeting of the district council here on Tuesday.

Dr Memon said seven cases of polio were reported in the province — two each in Larkana, Jacobabad and Khairpur and one in Naushahro Feroze.

Answering a question, he said people who were injured in the Kashmore clash would receive treatment free of cast.—BoC
