KARACHI, April 1: An additional district and sessions judge, South, Farooq Channa, acquitted an accused in the Moonaliza gang-rape case.

Akhtar Baloch, represented by Shahadat Awan, was acquitted of all charges as the victim woman had not involved the accused in her statement recorded before the trial court.

The judge ordered that the case against two absconding accused, Fiyyaz Palari and Arshad, be kept on the dormant file till their arrest.—Staff Reporter
