KARACHI, April 1: Six ships carrying containers and chemicals are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Kota Wangi, Puhe to unload and load containers, Vast Banaglore, to offload timber and World Star to unload steel coils were berthed.

Sailing on the other hand was fairly brisk as seven ships departed after loading export cargoes.

They are: Kota Intan, Hyderabad, Eastern Victory, Lecong, Al-Cyonida, North Sea Anvil and Asia, while Vast Bangalore, Johar, World Star, Leopard and Puhe are due to sail out on Wednesday.

Cargon handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 82,242 tons comprising 11,183 tons of export cargo and 71,059 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Bruce Park, with chemicals, Getty Princess, to load ethanol, Hyundai Advance, Iron-D, Sima Bahar and India Star, with containers.

KARACHI, April 1: Two ships, Msc Camille and Miraj, to load and offload containers and furnace oil arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, says a PQA press release on Tuesday.

SD Victory and Worcester were busy in discharging iron ore and LPG. Bruce Park was due to arrive at the port. Contship Champion and Sea Pride-II are expected to arrive on Wednesday.

A cargo volume of 16,222 tons exclusively of import including 15,700 tons of iron ore and 522 tons of LPG was handled.
