By Our Reporter

RAWALPINDI, March 31: The judge of anti-terrorists court No. 2, Safdar Hussain Malik, on Monday confirmed the bail of nine PML-N activists involved in Kashmir rally case.

The court confirmed the bail of Babar Awan, Shafique, Mirza Mansoor Baig, Dr Ayaz, Syed Zaigham Ali Shah, Siddiqul Farooq, Tanveer Akhtar Shaikh, Mohammad Zarief Raja and Raja Nasir Mehfooz.

In the court, the defence council, Khalique Hussain Bhatti, contended that the Bani police implicated the activists in the case.

The same court also accepted the bail application of three villagers in Sri Saral case. The court granted bail to Miskeen, Mohammad Nawaz and Mohammad Tariq.

Meanwhile, the additional district and sessions judge, Mian Mohammad Shafi, handed down death sentence to a person for killing his brother-in-law.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs100,000 on the convict, Naveed, who would undergo another six-month rigorous imprisonment if he failed to pay the amount.
