KARACHI: Killer bus set on fire

KARACHI, March 30: A bus was set on fire on Sunday after a six- year-old boy was run over by it in Chakiwara.

The police arrested the bus driver.

The police said Abbasi Boota was run over by a bus (PE-4949), that ran between Chakiwara and Hub Chowki. The accident took place in Bihar Colony No 1 near a bank in Chakiwara police limits. The boy died on the spot.

After the accident, agitated people dragged out the driver out of the bus and set the bus on fire. People also beat the driver and handed him over to the police. He was identified as Azizullah.

Fire brigade sources said the bus was completely burnt down.
