Missile hits Kuwait

KUWAIT CITY, March 29: Kuwait was struck by a missile, said to be Iraqi, which damaged a section of modern Sharq shopping centre and injured two people early on Saturday.

Eyewitnesses said they heard a huge bang at 1.40am followed by a thick layer of smoke emitting from the shopping centre, which is located in downtown Kuwait city near the sea. The blast damaged a part of a cinema house, located in the centre and several windows and doors. The two people injured were identified as a Kuwaiti and an Egyptian.
