Quake claims one life

PESHAWAR, March 29: An earthquake of moderate intensity jolted Peshawar and Chitral, killing one woman and injuring two men in Bajaur Agency on Saturday.

The Met office said the magnitude of the quake was 5.5 on the Richter scale and its epicentre was about 200 kilometre north of Peshawar. The earthquake also jolted Islamabad and the adjacent tribal areas.

Three people, including a woman, sustained fatal injuries when a mud house collapsed in Salarzai sub-division of Bajaur Agency, our correspondent reports.
