KHAIRPUR, March 29: Residents of the Kandhiro village on Saturday blocked the National Highway for at least two hours near Siyal Pul to press the authorities for the immediate arrest of killers of Badshah Dino, who was killed on Friday by five armed men in the village Kandhiro.
The 17-year-old boy was with his father, Mir Mohammad Kandhiro, when the five men had asked him to pay Rs100,000 in extortion money. When Mr Kandhiro refused to pay them, they had opened fire on them and as a result the boy was killed and his father was injured.
An FIR was lodged with the Tando Masti police on Saturday against Din Mohammad Mari, Piaro Mari and three others.

Later, protesters dispersed after they were assured by the police officials regarding the killers’ arrest.
