KARACHI, March 28: Sindh governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad on Friday said that children and students are the asset of the country and the government would utilize all its resources to groom their talents and capabilities.

Talking to principals of various colleges whose students clinched positions in intermediate examination, he said the government would take comprehensive and consolidated steps to facilitate and encourage talented students.

The governor distributed prize cheques he had announced in a ceremony some days earlier. He expressed the hope that students would take more interest in their studies and work hard.

“We as a nation will have to prove our ability to live in the age of competition and modern technology”.

The governor said that students should actively participate in co-curricular activities.

He further said that for a better performance in the education sector and promotion of human resource, the government was paying attention to the allocation of funds and provision of facilities on priority basis.—PPI
