One killed in café firing

KARACHI, March 26: A young man was killed and another injured when unknown persons opened fire at a cafe in Azizabad on Wednesday night.

Police said Ahfaz Husain, 28, and Mubarak, 25, were sitting along with other persons at Cafe Noori, Aliabad, Block-8, Azizabad, when unidentified people riding a motorcycle opened fire on them and escaped.

Both the injured were taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where Ahfaz was pronounced dead on arrival while Mubarak was admitted for treatment.

Police said injured Mubarak is the owner of a video shop located close to the cafe where the attack took place.
