SUKKUR, March 26: Sindh Governor Ali Mohammad Mahar has said Rs170 million has been allocated for beautification of Ghotki city.

Talking to people who called on him at the Mahar house in Ghotki on Sunday morning, he said the beautification drive included shifting of Sabzi Mandi and the bus stand and construction of bypass to bypass one-way road.

He said Rs10 million had also been released for constructing the district jail on the Mathelo-Ghotki Road at the Beriri Agriculture farm.

The chief minister reiterated he had asked managements of multinational companies operating in Ghotki district to provide jobs to local educated people. It was the legitimate right of the locals to be employed at these companies, he added.

He said it was the top priority of the Sindh government to improve the law and order situation.

He said the government had taken measures to restore law and order. No untoward incident had occurred during Muharram which showed the effectiveness of the government’s efforts, he claimed.

Mr Mahar said special attention was also being given to bring about improvement in education and health sectors.
