EFU wins swiss bridge

KARACHI, March 24: EFU quartet of Hasan Sajjad, Zafar Zaki, Iqbal Abedi and Jawad Abedi clinched the weekly Swiss League Bridge on Sunday.

EFU mustered 98 Victory Points to take the top spot. The defeated Jamal 24-06, lost by two IMPs from Candyland 14-16.

However after suffering defeat against Candyland EFU overwhelmed Aces, beat Sprinters 23-07 and overpowered Mazhar 16-12.

Aces with Asghar Naqvi, Irfan, Javed Iqbal and Abdul Ghaffar in their fold, finished runners-up 95 VP. Lipton occupied third position with 87 VP, after winning three matches.

In pair contest S.M.Ozair-Azxhar Hasan won the pair contest with 56.93%. Saleem-Chandna and Ameer Hasan-Chaudhry Sharif 54.46% were second.—APP
