KARACHI, March 24: Two quarterfinals of NBP One-day Patron’s Cup will be played here on Tuesday.

PIA, winners of Pool ‘B’, will take on Pool ‘D’ runners-up Lahore Whites, who qualified on a better run-rate than Pak PWD, at National Stadium

Pool ‘D’ winners Allied Bank face Pool ‘B’ runners-up Karachi Whites at UBL Sports Complex.

The winners of these two matches will meet in the day-night semifinal at National Stadium on Friday.

Meanwhile, the remaining quarterfinals will also be played on Tuesday.

Pool ‘A’ champions Wapda entertain Pool ‘C’ runners-up Peshawar, who qualified ahead of Faisalabad on net run-rate after both teams secured nine points each, in the quarterfinal tie at Gymkhana Ground in Okara.

The last quarterfinal, which is arguably the pick of the four matches, features Pool ‘C’ winners KRL against Habib Bank, runners-up of Pool ‘A’, at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The winners of these games will then fight out in the other day-night semifinal at Gaddafi Stadium, also scheduled for Friday.

The final, another day-night affair, is slated for Gaddafi Stadium next Monday (March 31).—APP
