Pakistan, China to form forum

BEIJING, March 24: China and Pakistan will establish a friendship forum to strengthen bilateral ties, according to a China-Pakistan joint press communique issued on Monday.

The communique said that Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Pakistan Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali agreed to set up the forum during their talks.

Well-known people and experts in various fields from the two countries would join the forum, which would carry out all kinds of exchanges and activities as well as map out plans to enhance bilateral cooperation in politics, economics, journalism, academic and cultural fields, said the communique.

Beijing and Islamabad will take turns to hold forum meetings.—APP
