LAHORE, March 23: Three goals by Ahmad Ali Tiwana including a hat trick and two goals by Malik Asif Yar Tiwana enabled SHV Energy to win the G Mueed-ud-Din Memorial Cup polo tournament defeating Security-2000 6-3 in the final on Sunday.

Ahmad gave SHV a fine start 3-1 in the first chukker when he completed his hat trick by scoring three goals in a row all throuugh field goals.

For Security, Irfan Ali Hyder netted a goal to reduce the margin.

Security equalised 3-3 in the second chukker when Capt Malik struck two goals.

Atif Yar Tiwana scored the only goal of the third chukker to put SHV ahead 4-3.

The winners dominated the fourth chukker, as Asif scored back to back goals to seal the fate of the match.

Earlier, Sherwood came in third position beating Surf 2- 1 1/2 in the subsidiary final. All goals were scored in the second chukker.

After the barren first chukker, Feroze Gulzar extended the half goal handicap lead of Surf by scoring a field goal. But Sherwood retaliated and scored back to back goals through Shehzad Aziz and Maula Baksh in the same chukker to make it 2- 1 1/2.
