KARACHI, March 23: Sindh government is paying special attention on providing better health facilities to people, particularly in public health institutions. In this regard, efforts will be made to make the Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) a model hospital.
This was stated by provincial minister Imtiaz Ahmad Shaikh during his visit to the hospital on Sunday in connection with the Pakistan Day festivities.
Mr Shaikh, who is also President of the Sindh Democratic Alliance, distributed buntings, sweets, balloons and gift packs among the ailing children and remained with them for some time.
The minister announced donation of ten ceiling fans for installation in the waiting sheds built for patients and their attendants after some of the attendants complained of unavailability of fans in the area.
The medical superintendent and deputy medical superintendent Prof Dr Naushad Shaikh and Dr Kalim Butt took the minister to different wards and operation theatre and briefed him about problems being faced in the hospital.
