ISLAMABAD, March 19: Member of National Assembly Mian Aslam has prepared a 21-point development plan for the development of Islamabad Capital Territory.

In this regard, he briefed the CDA chairman about the plan on Wednesday and discussed with him a number of long-standing issues, including the water problem.

During the meeting, it was decided that before the arrival of Summer, the CDA would take every possible step to ensure normal supply of water to the sectors, which were faced with water shortage problem every year.

The CDA officials told the MNA that this year residents of I- 10, G-7 and G-10 sectors would be supplied uninterrupted water.

The authority will install water pumps in I-10 Markaz and will also ensure water supply to residential quarters in sector G-7/3, the officials said.

The MNA said the public sector had failed to provide quality services to the taxpayers, while on the other hand, charges of domestic commodities were on the rise.

Other issues, which came under discussion during the meeting included street lights, condition of roads, drainage system, development of I-11 sector, development of parks and sideways, toilets for general public, construction of small bridges at various points, markets’ upgradation and problems of katchi abadis.
