ISLAMABAD, March 19: Newly designated ambassadors from different countries presented their credentials to President General Pervez Musharraf here on Wednesday.

They include ambassador-designate of Afghanistan, Dr Nanguyalai Tarzi, high commissioner-designate of Brunei Darussalam, Haji Mustappa Bin Haji Sirat, the ambassador- designate of Kingdom of Nepal, Pushkar Man Singh Rajbhandari, ambassador-designate of Norway, Dr Janis Bjorn Kanavin, high commissioner-designate of Malaysia, General Tan Sri Md Hashim Hussein and ambassador-designate of Cuba, Ivonne Suarez Roche.

Earlier, the envoys-designate separately arrived at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

A contingent of Pakistan Army presented guard of honour. National anthems of Pakistan and the envoys’ respective countries were also played on the occasion.

Later, the new envoys separately called on President Musharraf and discussed with him matters of mutual interest.
