RAWALPINDI, March 19: Evacuation of Pakistanis from Kuwait started on Wednesday as Iraq crisis inches towards an imminent war.

Pakistan International Airline dispatched its first Boeing 747 relief flight to Kuwait to bring back 470 Pakistanis, PIA spokesman Imran Gardezi said.

He said three more relief flights will land at Lahore on Thursday. These flights would be arriving at 9.30am, 10.30am and 11.30 am. The PIA plans to evacuate Pakistanis from Iraq, probably from Riyadh or another Saudi Arabian airport.—Staff Reporter
