KARACHI: Seminar on TB

KARACHI, March 19: The Department of Chest Medicine, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, in collaboration with the Pakistan Chest Society, Sindh, will hold a seminar on Tuberculosis: problem and control” on Saturday at the JPMC at 10.30am.

The seminar is being held as part of the World TB Day which is observed on March 24.

Every day, more than 20,000 people develop active TB and 5,000 die of the disease globally, says a press release of the Society. One third of the world’s population is infected with the TB bacillus.
