KARACHI, March 19: Following Tuesday’s clash between two groups of students, tension prevailed at the Sindh Medical College on Wednesday.

However, no untoward incident was reported, while rangers and police parties were present in and outside the college till evening. In addition to classes of first year students, practical examinations are being conducted at the college.

As a precautionary measure, the college administration has notified that all canteens would stop business by 3pm, while the library would remain open till 7pm, instead of 9pm.

The laboratories and administrative block would be closed at 2.30pm.

College sources said that staff and students’ entry to the institute would be allowed only on production of office and college cards.
