Major reshuffle in Islamabad police

RAWALPINDI, March 18: Six senior officers of Islamabad police including three ASPs have been reshuffled, a spokesman for the police said on Tuesday.

The inspector general of police, Islamabad, Chaudhry Mohammad Akram, issued the notification of the reshuffle, the spokesman said.

According to the notification, DSP Chaudhry Suleman, who was performing duty with the special branch, has been posted as DSP traffic police, while DSP Mohammad Khalid has been transferred to the National Assembly. Khalid was performing duty at Aiwan-i-Sadr until transfer.

DSP Raja Saleem Akhtar posted at the Central Police Office, and ASP Sher Akbar have been posted to the prime minister’s squad. ASP Younus Chandio has been transferred to Aiwan-i-Sadr, while ASP Sohail Chaudhry has been made head of the anti-car lifting cell, the spokesman said.

Meanwhile, the inspector general of police Mohammad Akram inaugurated the newly built office of the Sub-Divisional Police Office (SDPO), Rural, at Barakahu.
